Tenerife is doing its bit for International Breast Cancer Day – Today, Thursday 19th October, if you have haven’t already noticed Tenerife today, its in the Pink, with Pink Ribbon Bows which symbolises breast cancer and is celebrating its 25th Anniversary of the pink ribbon, this year. All around Tenerife you will see the bows attached to Palm Trees, Balconies, Building, Signs, etc.
Breast cancer has no prejudices it can effect Male, Female, Religion, Race or Age, we urge people to self examine on a regular basis and if you find anything irregular, please don’t hesitate to contact your local GP. This will not only put your own mind at rest but if the result is positive lives can be saved due to an early detection. The highest percentage of cases of this disease are found mainly in women, the family history is an important factor to anyone who suffers as well as getting older.
It is in everybody’s interest to be Breast Cancer Aware as early detection can safe life’s therefore we all need to embrace this day, today and in the future…..
